Dr. Megan Duffett is a pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental conditions in school-age children. She earned her Master’s and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor, where she focused on autism and pediatric rehabilitation. During her residency at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, she furthered her specialized training in neuropsychological assessment, with an emphasis on brain injury and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
For nearly a decade, Dr. Duffett has been a full-time clinician at IWK Health, working within the School Age Autism Diagnostic Team and the Neuropsychology Service. In addition to conducting assessments, she provides consultation to inpatient and intensive services, supervises doctoral-level psychology residents, and collaborates with colleagues to advance best practices in autism assessment.
Dr. Duffett takes a neuroaffirming, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, emphasizing diversity and culturally responsive care. She is committed to supporting neurodivergent children and their families, helping them understand their strengths, navigate diagnoses, and access appropriate resources.
At Affinity, Dr. Duffett provides specialized neuropsychological and diagnostic consultation to the multidisciplinary team. She also offers second-opinion consultations for families seeking further clarification or guidance regarding diagnoses and recommendations. Outside of work, this proud Newfoundlander is an avid rock climber and enjoys many outdoor activities, especially with her husband and corgi.
